I know now how people came up with the idea of Zombies and walking dead - they were probably observing new parents at night. That’s because living dead is what parenthood turns parents into at night. When I, at 3:30 in the morning, try to make my way from my bedroom into screaming Luke’s room, I could easily be mistaken for a Zombie: Limbs all stiff, eyes bloodshot and partially closed, grunting/yawning, slowly walking with a limp while bumping into walls and other obstacles, extending my arms to find the little screamer, hair standing in all kinds of directions and wrinkly clothes hanging off of my contorted body. Welcome to the world of horror!
