Steve Jobs has done it again: With Apple’s iPhone, he’s now revolutionized cell phones. I got mine last Friday and suffice it to say: I’m in love! This device is absolutely awesome. The user interface is extremely sleek and elegant, yet very efficient and fast. Just a few minutes after turning it on at home, it was connecting to my local WiFi network, accessing my company’s Exchange server and seamlessly syncing contacts, calendars and emails. Unlike with WindowsMobile, you can actually browse the web without having to rely on funky special mobile versions of web pages, which are for the most part text-only. The regular web pages look like crap with WindowsMobile, but render flawlessly on the iPhone. The built-in iPod is great and with the huge, bright display, watching movies etc. is now a pleasure. The headset comes with an integrated microphone. When a call comes in, the iPod stops automatically and uses the headset for the phone call. These guys have really thought this through.

This is a huge step forward compared to my old Palm Treo. This is for the first time a practical device, which puts the Internet at your fingertips. Anyways, I just had to share my happiness. Now go out and get your own...!
